Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Let’s Be Social (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and deletes information when you use our mobile app and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Let’s Be Social helps people nearby discover shared interests and connect in person at places like stadiums, bars, and festivals. We are based in the United States. Questions: privacy@letsbe.social.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

Account information — email address, display name / first name, and sign-in identifiers from Apple, Google, or email/password.
Profile information — birthdate (to verify you are 18+), gender (if you provide it), profile photo, and interests you choose to broadcast.
Location — approximate or precise location while discoverable mode is on, so we can show people nearby who share your interests. You can turn this off in the app or in system settings.
Proximity / device signals — Bluetooth and related local signals used only to confirm someone is physically near you when you Connect.
Usage and technical data — app interactions needed to operate matching, security, and reliability (for example, whether you completed onboarding).

Power Connect and related in-person features
Improve the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with law
Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How we share information

Other users — only what you choose to share for matching (for example, first name, photo, and broadcast interests). Precise home address is never shown.
Service providers — infrastructure such as Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions) under agreements that limit use to providing the Service.
Legal — if required by law, or to protect rights, safety, or the Service.

5. Your choices & deleting your data

You can delete your account and data in the app. Open Account → Delete account. That removes your profile, presence, Connect sessions, and authentication record from our systems. Profile photos stored for your account are removed with related account data.

You can edit interests, photo, and discoverability in Account.
You can revoke Apple or Google access in those providers’ settings.
You can request help at privacy@letsbe.social if you cannot use the in-app delete control.

Some aggregated or anonymized records (for example, de-identified usage counters) and backups may remain for a limited time and are then deleted or overwritten in the normal course of operations. We may retain information when required by law.

6. Children

The Service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data security & retention

We use industry-standard cloud security practices (including encrypted transit and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We keep account data while your account is active, and delete it when you delete your account, subject to the limited exceptions above.

8. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, you understand your information may be processed in the U.S.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
